Home Detail’s Previous layout was starting to show it’s age. It had been created by Media Idee on Magento 1.7 Community Edition and needed an uplift.

We decided to upgrade the layout to reflect what our current day consumer demanded and whilst we were doing that to upgrade the Magento to the latest version. The complete cart was over-hauled and re-developed, all extensions migrated, all customers and databases migrated, email lists migrated, newsletters upgraded and re-designed all of which were handled by the Media Idee team. 

After this the complete site was transitioned within 24 hours. In short one production site was replaced completely with another production site with zero downtime for business and zero hassles.
